Mr Luke Lovett reported to us that the Wi-Fi coverage and speed of his Sky internet package didn’t meet his household’s expectations. The highest download speeds supposedly possible were 60Mbps, but these were often not realised in practice.

According to our Network Report, the actual download speeds achieved could fall as low as 8Mbps. This situation led us to recommend a mesh Ubiquiti system consisting of five access points, while we opted for bespoke installation of Cat 6 cabling infrastructure.

Our work in this home means that it now has 99% coverage in all of its rooms, with achieved download speeds in the region of 50-65Mbps. We even relocated the router to nearer an external wall so that the overall installation was easier and cleaner.
